Good morning! Please help us welcome our newest sister, Jacqueline H.! I'm so excited to have her as a sister as she lives here in my hometown and is a great friend, too!
Tell us about your family: 1 handsome husband, 2 good looking guys, and 2 gorgeous girls :) - 18 months between the boys, 3 years between the last boy and the first girl, 13 years between the two girls :)
Who/What inspired you to start scrapbooking? Your very own Carla. When I saw the beautiful layouts she made I was inspired to give it a try.
Does anyone in your family also scrap? DD scraps with my sometimes
What size do you normally scrap? I started doing 8 1/2 x 11 but then gave 12 x 12 a try. I'll do whatever, depending on my mood.
What is your favourite colour scheme? Black and white with a touch of color
How many hours a week do you scrap? Hmmmmm...depends on the week
What is one thing you always find yourself reaching for when creating a layout? - Hmmmm...I don't know if there's anything that I use constantly, besides my cutter. I probably use ink the most.
Describe your scrapping style in just three words. - no set style :)
Take a look at Jacqueline's submission for Challenge 82:
I LOVE the monochromatic look with just a touch of yellow. Beautiful!
Jacqueline has several blogs. For scrapping stuff, check out Jac's Scrappin'. She also organizes a Canadian Scrappers Blog Carnival. She was taking a break for the month of November, but look for the next issue on December 4th!
Drop by tomorrow for our next challenge and a NEW month! Can't believe we're almost done another year!

For today's challenge, show us how you are decorating your home for the holidays. Snap some close-ups of your favorite decorations and maybe use them in a scrapbook layout. Whatever you do, we'd love to see it!
I haven't really started decorating yet -- still in the cleaning stage :-) Will get to the decorating soon, though!

Click here for details. You have until Saturday night or the wee hours of Sunday morning to get them done.We will be choosing winners on Sunday. So get your layouts and cards posted and let us know!!
How many hours a week do you scrapbook? Not enough…maybe one or 2 afternoons of naptime (maybe 4 hours)
How long does it take you to complete a layout? Depends on my mood. Sometimes an hour, sometimes longer
Where do you get your inspiration? I love Becky Higgins Sketches and Page Maps. I like to start with a sketch first and go from there.
Describe your scrap space. Do you like/dislike it? My space is always changing. I have a room in the basement and I’m always changing it to make it work best for me. I do like having the space to leave things in disarray…lol…
What are your favourite colours to scrapbook with? Pink and brown…or blue and brown. Either way ….I own a lot of papers and supplies in those colors!
Do you enjoy other crafts and/or hobbies? Besides stamping and Scrapbooking…I don’t make enough time for the other stuff. I would love to quilt a new quilt for my bed, and I do enjoy some cross stitching, Otherwise, I stick to my paper crafting.
What scrapbook magazines do you read? CK and PaperCrafts at the only 2 I subscribe to. Sometimes when I’m out and about I’ll pick up another one to look at and get ideas from.
How thick is your cardstock and paper stash? In feet or Inches…lol I am a patterned paper addict, and I have three tall wire racks full plus a few more baskets of other stuff. So maybe a lil thick!!
Are you an organized or messy scrapper? MESSY!!! I like to clean up to get inspired but at the end of the day it’s like tornado alley!!
Anything else you want to share? One thing I hear when I show my projects or talk about scrapping, is that other people are so overwhelmed by starting. I hope that people who want to jump in will just do it, and keep up with what they have now.
Thank you to the Sisters for letting me be this week’s SISTER!! I love it…and am so proud to be part of this group!! MWAH!!
First of all I'd like to wish all our American friends a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
The challenge this week is simple!!! Find or write your own quote about thankfulness, gratefulness or friendship. That's it!
If you blog about it, let us know!!!
“Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.”

Some of my favorite websites for crafting supplies are ScrapAttack Scrapping - Scrap Attack, The LifePreservers Kit Club - LIfe Preservers Club , and a local shout out to The ScrapBook HideAway - The Scrapbook Hideaway. They all offer awesome products and beautiful galleries on the first two!!

Tell us about your family: I live in a small Montana town with my hubby of 8 years, our three kids, David, RC and McKinley. They are my inspirations for scrapbooks and keeping a tale of their lives is why I continue to scrapbook. I want the kids and their kids to be able to remember things we do with them. The good, the bad and the ugly.
Favorite Snack: anything chocolate really…mostly Peanut M&M’s
Favorite Drink: coffee until noon, a mountain dew once a day and then I stick to water! LOL….
Favorite Paper: I love Bazzill Bling cs and I love My Mind’s Eye paper lines.
Favorite Technique: is more of a stamping…I like paper piecing…so fun!
Favorite Embellishment: buttons!! I try to use them on all my layouts!!
Favorite Scrap Tool: my trimmer. Really – I can do without the rest, but I need my trimmer!
Favorite Adhesive: Herma tabs
How/Why did you start scrapbooking? I started scrapping at a Creative Memories crop. I knew nothing before that day, just went with pictures in hand. Since then I haven’t stopped! I really saw how important preserving not just the photos, but the story and the meaning in those pictures. I always enjoyed looking through my grandmas old photos, but never knew anything about them. So the scrapbooks are super important to me.
How long have you been scrapbooking? Since 1999…while pregnant with our first.
What is it about scrapbooking that you really love? Besides the importance of keeping the photos and stories together, I also love how therapeutic it all is. I can immerse myself in this craft for hours at a time and not have to worry about the everyday stress of life. And I have a good outcome at the end of it all.
For now, hope you're enjoying the online crop!!
