WEB Wednesday-Oct. 10
I was just wondering what to post about this morning when the idea came to me! Why not check out some of the "sister's" blog and post some links to things that catch my eye (could be scrap-related or not!!) So, that's what I'll do...but it'll have to be later as I'm heading out the door for school.
Hey, how about you give me a head-start and go check out some and leave a comment in the post about some blogs that you enjoyed reading today... There's a blogload(haha!), so I'll know you'll have fun! To find the links to everyone's blogs, scroll down and there's a huge list on the left side all ready to go, they are just a CLICK away!
Have fun, everyone! Happy Wednesday!

TEACHING Tuesday - October 9th
"I am hooked on doodling templates right now, particularly Crafter's Workshop. Here are a few things you can do with them besides the typical doodles:
-Look for doodles that look like letters, particularly the letter 'S'. This makes a great monogram for the title of a layout. {example here}
-Lightly trace the scroll or flourish with a pencil and use it to journal, then erase your line.
-Trace the flourish and use it as a guide for stitching. Attach a few flowers when you are done and you have a great vine detail for your layout or card."
Here are some of Tracey's favorites :-)
Favorite Snack: chips and dip
Favorite Drink: water
Favorite Paper: This is continually changing. Right now, I love Crafter’s Workshop, the Paper Trunk, Daisy D’s, Basic Grey. Was I supposed to just name one? LOL
Favorite Technique: Sewing
Favorite Embellishment: Scrolls
Favorite Scrap Tool: Doodling Templates by Crafter’s Workshop
Favorite Adhesive: UHU glue stick

SISTER Sunday-October 7th
Welcome, Tracey Taylor, to the "sisterhood"!
How long have you been scrapbooking? 4 years
What is it about scrapbooking that you really love? I love the creative outlet it provides me, the social aspect, and I especially love that I am documenting my family’s history; particularly all those little moments that are sometimes forgotten over time.
How many hours a week do you scrapbook? 6 - 10
How long does it take you to complete a layout? 2 – 3 hours on average
Where do you get your inspiration? Everywhere from patterned paper, clothing, and ads to magazines
Describe your scrap space. Do you like/dislike it? I LOVE my scrap space. I am set up in the spare bedroom in the basement where I have a table with a peg board on the wall above it, my sewing machine to the left and a big armoire on the other side that houses all my supplies.
What are your favourite colours to scrapbook with? Black and white
What scrapbook magazines do you read? Scrapbooks etc.
Are you an organized or messy scrapper? I’m organized before I begin but very messy as a project progresses.

SKETCH Saturday-WORLD CARD DAY!
Today is World Card Day, a day to celebrate your love for making and giving greeting cards! All week I've been posting sketches and challenges and today I will post another 2 sketches and 3 challenges. So, join in on the fun and create some cards! No matter what part of the world you live or if you are a beginner card-maker or a seasoned pro, you are welcomed to participate!
RAKS will go for:
*my favorite card of the week
*most cards created during this week
*random draw
SKETCH #4
SKETCH #5
...and challenges for today:
Challenge #3- Use only patterned paper on your card.
Here's my card for this challenge:
Challenge #4- Use at least 2 metallic embellishments (does not include brads) on your card.I used metallic fibre and a circular paperclip (orange) (I am also using this for a challenge at the 2 Gals Scrappin' forum)
Challenge #5-Create a card for a friend and write a personal message inside(we don't need to see the inside of the card!) and get it ready to pop in the mail!
*I WISH I had this challenge done last night!! My friend was here last night until 11:00 or so and I could have given it to her then. But no worries, she'll be back!!! hehe! And I'll give it to her then.
*Just a note, please do not combine the sketches/challenges here. You can do more cards than one for each sketch/challenge. I think it would be fun to know that at the end of the celebration, you have at least 10 different cards to give to loved ones.
You CAN combine these sketches/challenges with other WORLD CARD DAY celebrations you are participating in on other blogs/forums!
Have a great day creating cards!
