Teaching TUESDAY - Feb 17

~You will need~

~patterned paper
~coordinating light and dark cardstock
~coordinating ribbon
~Decorative scissors (optional as you can cut you own pattern)
~Fiskars Corner punch( and this is also optional! You can cut your own pattern)
~Hole punch
~adhesive
~velcro OR pop dot
~other items to decorate your bookmark

~CARD~
1. Cut a piece of light cardstock 8 1/2 x 5 1/2. Fold.This is the card.
2. Cut a piece of the dark cardstock 4 x 5 1/2. Trim the sides with the deco scissors or use your regular scissors and create your own pattern.
3. Cut a piece of patterned paper 3 3/4 x 5 1/2. Again cut the sides with your deco scissors or create your own pattern.4. Adhere these pieces to the front of the card.
~BOOKMARK~
1. Cut a piece of the dark cardstock 4 3/4 x 2. Decorate the top corners using a corner punch, deco scissors or create your own pattern.
2. Cut a piece of patterned paper 4 1/2 x 1 3/4. Cut the top corners the same way you cut the other piece above. Adhere the pieces together.3. Punch a hole in the top center and run a piece of ribbon through and tie it.


~FINISHING~
1. Decorate the BOOKMARK as desired.
2. Velcro the bookmark to the front of the card or use a popdot to adhere it.
3. Add a note inside to let the recipient know that they can carefully remove the bookmark from the card and use.
Here's another card that I made. Instead of using patterned paper, I stamped white cardstock.

I am making this for my baby sis (Alexandra) whose b'day is March 13th! Thanks so much for the tutorial & clear directions/pics Deanne! GREAT idea! I made bookmarks for all of Noah's Team at Christmas but didn't have a "specially-made type of card" for those- just tucked them into his Team's Christmas Cards. Anyway- will try this and post a link as soon as I get it done. Could be a few days, LOL. ;O) ~Ali
