Monday Feb 16: A Challenge for you!! Grab those paints!

Goooood Day Everyone! It's Monday mornin' here so that means "Time for a Challenge!"

Your challenge this week is to use paint on a layout in some way. You have free rein on how you'd like to do this! Anything goes. Just be sure to share with us!

For example, as I mentioned in the "Texture" article posted last Tuesday, I used acrylic paint to create a background for my "Cover Shot" LO, below. I dabbed scrunched up cheesecloth into acrylic paints, (colours: white and blue) dabbed the cheesecloth onto my cardstock, and let it dry on a flat surface (which prevents paper warping.) Then I used that background cardstock to scrap on!

This morning, it is my privilege to post the three beautiful and varied layouts that the sisters created (see below).

So awesome! Thanks for playing along, Deanne, Carla and Susan!

Be sure to craft a LO and share the link with us here in the "Comments" section! We'd LOVE to see what you can create with a bit of paint!! Have fun meeting this challenge head-on, everyone! Can't wait to see all your creations!

Have a super Monday.

"Cover Shot" by Ali MacDonald~
Blue and white acrylic paints were used to create a soft background on CS BEFORE scrappin'!

Sample of my painted background sheet is below. The paints were used on Bazzill's Chatterbox Dark Denim cardstock. The paints I chose were: Colonial Blue by Orient Acrylic Paint: # ZD20C-31 and White by DecoArt Crafter's Acrylic.

And now let's see what treasures Deanne, Carla and Susan have created for us this week!

1. "Winter Beauty" by Deanne Burton~
(Based on a sketch by Jen Patrick.)
Deanne painted the snowflakes and then added glitter to them.
2. "Little Princess" by Carla Robinson~
Carla used a swirly stamp and some paint in the corners of her LO.
3. "Homegrown" by Susan Coish~
Susan used products from in her LO. She used paint around her photo as a textured frame!

Send in your layout to Sisterhood of Scrap by Sunday, February 22nd.Please make sure you use the link above, or put feb16 in the subject line. This makes it so much easier for us to filter our emails and ensures that we don't miss your submission!
