Teaching Tuesday-Valentine's Day Double Pouch Gift Bag

I apologize to those who have already seen this on my personal blog !!!

You will need:
~1 sheet of double-sided patterned paper
~Double-sided tape
~2 pieces of ribbon, approx. 12 inches each
~embellishments to finish your gift bag
~tools such as scor-pal, bone folder but not really necessary as you can fold them quite easily without them.

1.Choose a double sided 12x12 piece of patterned paper. Score each side around 1 inch. Add some double-sided tape. Fold down and adhere. 2. Turn the paper so that the folded edges are at the top and bottom and facing you. Fold over one side so that it's around the middle. It's NOT important that it's exact.

3. Then fold the other side over so that you will get about 1/2- 1 inch flap where you can add some tape.
It should look like this when these steps are done. 4. You are now ready to make the "pouches". Fold it in 1/2 so that the the sealed edge is OUTSIDE first. Then to make the "W" shape, score it 3/4 on each side of the middle fold.

5.Then fold them so that it looks like this and that your "good" side it outside and the sealed edge is once again inside.6. Once that is done, you are ready to punch holes in the outside layers on top and bottom about 1 inch from the edge. DON'T punch through both layers.
7. Cut 2 pieces of ribbon and poke then through the holes from the outside and you can either fasten the ribbons with brads or tie a knot on the ends.I used brads. 8.Add some tape to the inside top edge and tape the 2 edges together.

9. You are now ready to embellish it as you desire. You can add a card to one pouch and a little gift in the other pouch (such as a gift card). Here's my finished double pouch gift bag.
I have a Christmas pouch like this posted on my Christmas Cards All Year 'Round blog.
*I initially saw this idea HERE a couple of years ago. Check out her blog! Great ideas!
