SISTER Sunday - January 13th

Our sister for this week is Colleen H, from British Columbia. Glad to have you here, Colleen!

Tell us about your family: I'm married to a wonderful husband, George, that supports my scrapbooking addiction and we have 2 wonderful little boys that I love to scrap! Kyle is 4 and Nathan is 2 today (the 13th!)

How/Why did you start scrapbooking? Like many others, I had a friend introduce me to Creative Memories, but I was a student at the time anddidn't have much money! It was really when I moved to Osaka, Japan to teach English that I started scrapping some of my experiences there. After three years, I came home with 4 albums and a lot more unscrapped pictures! Thus began the addiction!

How long have you been scrapbooking? I have been scrapbooking for over 10 years and cardmaking for about 4 or 5 years. I've really always been doing some kind of cut and paste thing though!

What is it about scrapbooking that you really love? I love being able to do something creative just for me as well as being able to save all those wonderful memories. My kids will have so much information about their family and childhood simply because it's on paper and those little things are so easy to forget no mater how much we think we won't!

How many hours a week do you scrapbook? I try and scrap a little everyday even if it's only 10 or 15 minutes to get something out for thenext time I have a little more time. Probably about 4 or 5 hours a week.

How long does it take you to complete a layout? Totally depends -anywhere from about 30 minutes to a few hours!

Where do you get your inspiration? All kinds of places, but I would say most recently would by the newest Ali Edwards book and some stuff online.

Here is Colleen's submitted layout:

Check back tomorrow for another of her fantastic layouts!
