More about Wendi...

Describe your scrap space. Do you like/dislike it? I love my scrap space. It is a work in progress as we moved into this house about a year ago and I am still putting things places. I have a countertop height table and wonderful lighting, a private bathroom and a great picture window – plus doors that I can close if I don’t get everything cleaned off. My computer is close by as well as another table for my kids to work at if they are feeling crafty.

What are your favourite colours to scrapbook with? Just about anything but I love black – just seems to make things pop off of a page!

Do you enjoy other crafts and/or hobbies? Photography, Giant Breed dogs, and horseback riding.

What scrapbook magazines do you read? PaperCrafts, Creating Keepsakes How thick is your cardstock and paper stash? 8 cropper hopper vertical files

Are you an organized or messy scrapper? I start off with a clean desk, but I am a messy scrapper. I try to clean up after each project.

TEXT Thursday - Oct 4

In keeping with the theme this week let's do an easy BLOG challenge.

If you have a blog, write a post today telling about your feelings about greeting cards. These days, it seems as though e-cards are more popular than real cards, but there are many people who still appreciate a card in the mail or given in person. Do you like giving cards? Do you enjoy receiving them? For what occasions to you give cards? Do you make your own, or give store-bought? Do you give thoughtful, meaningful cards or humorous cards? Do you keep cards that others have given you?

We've love for you to post a link to your blog in our comments section. If you don't have a blog, post in the comments also.

TEACHING Tuesday-Oct.2nd

Wendi's favorite technique is...
Crackling. This technique is just so much fun and easy to do - simply paint your underlying color and then once dry paint over itwith the crackling medium and let dry until tacky. Then paint another color overtop. The crackling medium allows the first color to show through the cracks that are formed. With all of the new textures on the market today -transparencies, scrapbook film, chipboard, - this technique adds some beautiful effects!

World Card Day Sketch-of-the-Day #2

Here is my sketch #2 for you. I am hoping to get some cards done this evening. I've been a little swamped with preparing for teacher-parent meetings that I haven't had a chance to play!!!
