SISTER of the Week {June 17-23}

Please give a BIG welcome to our newest "sister", Emily Zhang!

Emily has only been scrapping for nine months and she's got a beautiful style! Check out her gallery and her blog, World of Yu'er.

This is Emily's layout for Challege 8. I LOVE the antique look of this layout! Fantastic job!

Name: Emily Zhang

Home: Brunei Darussalam

Tell us about your family: This is the 9th year of my marriage to Heng, we have 2 lovely girls aged 6 and 3.

How/Why did you start scrapbooking? Well, I always have my passion for crafts, like anything that is beautiful . I got know scrapbooking few years back when I met a friend who visited Brunei from Canada, she made albums for her children, they’re so beautiful. But there was any scrapbook shop in Brunei then, until last October the first shop opened and I can’t stop buying and started seriously on it. I want to keep all those precious moments in the most beautiful way for my children and family.

How long have you been scrapbooking? About 9 months now.

What is it about scrapbooking that you really love? I feel like I am an artist when I work on each project.

How many hours a week do you scrapbook? Mostly I scrapbook after the children are on bed at night and weekends, say about 8 hours a week.

How long does it take you to complete a layout? I once finished a LO within 1 hour but there are times that I need nearly 3 or 4 days to complete one!

Where do you get your inspiration? By searching on websites and reading magazines, or just anything I see, sometimes from a pattern on my daughter’s dress, school bags design…

Congrats, Emily! Looking forward to seeing more about you this week!
