Challenge Monday March 22

Yay!!!! I have the pleasure of posting the challenge this week. Mia was supposed to do it, but the little stinker is away enjoying herself on the slopes!!!!!!  :O)  (Hope you're having fun, Mia!!!!!!!) Anyway, I said I'd do it and she'll post my challenge next week.

So here goes:

Your challenge is to use whatever materials are on your scrap table and create a layout , card or altered item NOW (or at the time you actually decide to do the challenge)OR use up some scraps to make a card, layout or altered item.

Here's my card I made using the items on my desk yesterday. Thank goodness my Copics are ALWAYS on my desk and a few stamps here and there and ALL my digi images that I have printed off are on my desk as well!!! Phew!!!

March GREEN Challenges!

Cindy has been posting some "green" challenges this week. Fun stuff, and of course -- there are some prizes!

"Since this month has the first day of spring, St Patrick's day and Palm Sunday in it, I get to thinking green thoughts. Join me in challenges that involve green. These challenges may be in the form of a card, LO or altered project, basically anything goes except the project must have the color green in it.

I will give you 7 total challenges and the person who completes the most challenges wins a fabulous prize by Linda :) In the case of a tie we will pick a name from a hat. However, there will be 2 other chances to win prizes which will be revealed as the challenges are revealed.

You have until the March 21st to complete the challenges.

Post challenges in the New gallery with the challenge number in the title and then link or post a picture to the appropriate thread. "

Challenge #1 Show us at least 3 of the same shape in the color green. Ex. stars, circles, squares, leaves, etc...

Challenge #2 Use the word green or the color green in your title.

Challenge #3 Go green with your scrapping. Use an old item that may not be designated for scrapping.

Challenge #4 Do a monochromatic card, lo or project using different hues of the color green.

Challenge #5 Show your green thumb.

Challenge #7 Show me they money! Incorporate green backs or money on your project

SISTER Sunday - March 7th

Tell us about your family: Ryan and I have been married since August 2002 and have been together since July 1997. He loves me, spoils me and treats me like the princess I know I was meant to be (I believe I was born into the wrong family by accident, but I understand that these things do happen. *sigh*) We have one child ~ Michael, who is 11. He is, well ~ an 11 year old boy. I will not expand too much cuz I do love him dearly…so I don’t want to make him look TOO bad in front of everyone! He inspires many of my scrappy lo’s so I owe him that much at least! J

Who/What inspired you to start scrapbooking? One of my bff’s convinced me to buy a few things and try it…..so I quite begrudgingly, to be honest, bought some stuff and did a few lo’s……..after a few of them coming together and actually turning out okay I started to do more *read: BUY more* and became hooked very quickly!!!! I have done over 300 lo’s in the 10 months I’ve been scrapping!

Does anyone in your family also scrap? Nope

What size do you normally scrap? 12X12
What is your favourite colour scheme? I *heart* black and hot pink! (I rarely get to use it cuz I only have a BOY) but I also love blue and brown, love white space ~ just a white cardstock background with some bright mist and embellies!

How many hours a week do you scrap? Well my hubby works out of town so he is gone for 2 weeks and then home for 2 weeks….when he is home I hardly scrap (like, ZERO time sometimes) but when he is gone I am in there for HOURS UPON HOURS at a time!! It’s not sane I don’t think! *giggles*

What is one thing you always find yourself reaching for when creating a layout? Inks, I ink everything!!

Gonna get this blog started again!!!

Hi ladies,
We've neglected our blog in the last few months and we feel really bad about it as this is our baby, this is where we started our Sisterhood of Scrap wayyyyy back in April 2007!! I can't imagine forgetting about this blog, but with the forum, we've left the blog by the wayside. But we're going to try and begin some postings here and there to keep everyone updated on what's going on at the forum. The forum's THE PLACE TO BE, you know!!! We have fun there and we are posting challenges, giving away RAKS and encouraging each other all the time. Come visit us!
